What Are Shingles?
Shingles are actually the same virus as the chickenpox virus people have as children, but years later the virus reappears in a different form.
Shingles Symptoms
- painful, stinging, itchy rash
- low grade fever or chills
- headache
- break out of blisters
Shingles Treatment And Prevention
Some people suffer so greatly that they turn to the power of painkillers and even anti-seizure medications. Some find relief from acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Some also find it helps to use over-the-counter capsaicin cream.
While there is no guarantee it will prevent shingles, there is a shingle vaccine available.
