What Is A Hospitalist?
A Hospitalist is a primary care physician who cares for a patient while they are in the hospital. If a patient has a regular primary care physician, the Hospitalist will work closely with that physician. If a patient does not have a primary care physician, the Hospitalist will serve as the primary care physician during the patient’s stay at the hospital.
